- In my current capacity as Head of Community Health and Care Services, I am entrusted with providing visionary leadership and overseeing strategic and operational management across a diverse spectrum of healthcare services and teams within Angus
- My primary focus is on ensuring the delivery and sustainable development of high-quality health and social care services
- Key Achievements:
- In my current role, I have had the privilege of serving as the Deputy Chief Officer, affording me valuable experiences in representing the Health and Social Care Partnership in various important forums
- This includes participation in both NHS Tayside and Angus Council Executive Leadership Team Meetings, engagements with Scottish Ministers, and collaboration within the Tayside Executive Partners
- One of my significant achievements was taking a leadership role in shaping Angus' response to the Tayside Mental Health Strategy Living Life Well
- This involved meticulous planning, development of comprehensive implementation plan, and regular presentations of progress reports to the Integrated Joint Board (IJB)
- During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I spearheaded our primary care response efforts
- This encompassed the establishment of COVID Assessment Centres and the role of chairing the Primary Care Command and Control team on behalf of the Chief Officers
- This entailed orchestrating our COVID response and recovery, ensuring safe patient pathways in primary care, and optimising our collaboration with secondary care

- I was honoured to be appointed as the Chair of a national multiagency sub-group on Self-Referral as part of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Task Force, a role that emerged in response to the Forensic Medical Services Victims of Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2019
- My responsibilities in this capacity, spanning from December 2019 to July 2022, included providing regular progress updates to the CMO, Ministers and actively chairing meetings to oversee implementation efforts across Scotland within the agreed timescales
- In addition, I currently serve as the Chair of the Angus Alcohol and Drugs Partnership, furthering our commitment to addressing critical issues, and I am an engaged member of the Angus Chief Officer Group in this capacity
