JIA-YU (Mandy) LIOU

I am a passionate language educator, interpreter, and translator, specializing in English-Chinese communication and cross-cultural services. Before moving to Iceland to pursue my master's degree in International Studies in Education, I became a certified NAATI interpreter and translator in Australia, with a strong focus on culturally sensitive translation and localization. My work experience in education, community language teaching, and translation projects in both Iceland and abroad has given me valuable insights into supporting immigrant communities and bridging language gaps. I am dedicated to making important information accessible across languages and cultures, particularly in the areas of labor rights, education, and social inclusion. I am excited to bring my language skills, cultural understanding, and positive approach to translation and interpretation work in Iceland. I am continuing to improve my Icelandic and am committed to lifelong learning in order to better serve diverse communities.
