Volunteer Work

For many years I was a Co-Chair of a forum for young people for a charity, a charity called Sandwell Young Carers. As a forum, we helped make decisions that benefited the charity, As a Co-chair I would help organise and take part in conferences along with my colleagues on the Board of directors. As an attendee, I would voice the opinions of the ambassadors this charitable organisation. This led to changes within the Charity which has helped in the long run. I was able to make decisions on the spot and worked quite closely with the CEO Tracey Hawkins. In the past, I have also been able to do a lot of charity work with her, we attended meetings in which we requested funding and most of the time that funding was granted.

Also, over the summer of 2021, whilst I was at NCS I was in charge of leading a charity event, raising Awareness and raising some money for the chosen charity. I had to oversee my teams progress as we reached our goal.
