I'm a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in customer service and communication, particularly in one-on-one settings. I demonstrate ability in managing complaints and sensitive situations, supported by strong time management and organisational skills honed through running a self-employed business. I have high-level hairdressing expertise, including work at London fashion week, alongside basic financial management and cash handling capabilities.
In the recent years I have had time out having children and Sailing the south UK, But have continuously found that many if not most of the skills I have learnt over the years all aided my ability to balance motherhood and sailing. Sailing only boosted my ability to be able to perform under pressure, When the sails need adjusting or the route need renavigating, that isn't a job you can hesitate on. I believe always working high paced, time dependent jobs served me well at sea and continue to support skills I have to offer.
Worked in an organic hair salon renting a chair as a self employed stylist. Working this way for the first time taught me a lot about managing my own time and running a professional business.
-I rented a chair full time in salon and managed my own client base providing one to one personalised services.
- Built strong customer relationship resulting in repeat business.
- Handled cash and payments accurately and responsibly.
- Ordered and managed stock supplies independently.
- Had to manage any customer complaints or sensitive conversations personally.
Worked at Bicester village Cosmetic company store, Transferring my one to one customer skills from working in hair salons to sales and helping customers find products to suit them and their needs in cosmetics.
Other skills acquired:
Completed my hairdressing apprenticeship at Electric Oxford and built my first client base there in oxford. Gained lots of experience working one on one with customers and communicating clearly to delivery the required results.
As a new stylist and experienced apprentice I:
Started a part time evening an Saturday job at Lawrence Anthony whilst finishing school at 16.
Here is acquired foundational hairdressing knowledge and developed essential customer service skills.
Many if not all of my skills gained during my apprenticeship have served me all throughout daily life and the following jobs and experiences I have had. I believe my ability to communicate well with people whom I've met in life is from going straight into a high paces, busy social job straight from school. I learnt to communicate and listen to people from a mix of backgrounds and from a young age how to resolve sensitive issues and complaints.
Worked a couple evenings a week alongside my apprenticeship to gained further customer experience
