Additional information

  • In the past, I have done work with the YAB (youth advisory board)

some of the things I was part of YAB include:

- gained experience in setting up projects for young people

- How to help young people with their problems.

- Helped with commissioning projects for young people

With YAB, I had to make many decisions to help young people. YAB is a platform for young people to have a voice, and measures are taken into consideration to address issues raised during YAB meetings. If the YAB felt like we needed a well-being day for young people, we commissioned a project around it - this meant we could help young people with advice on how to stay healthy and look after themselves.

  • In the past, between the ages of 13 and 16, I also did some babysitting for my parents and their friends, looking after my younger siblings and other children with special and educational needs.
