I am currently a student at Kirkham Grammar School Sixth Form, studying for my A-levels in Biology, Religious Studies and DT Design Engineering. I am looking for part time employment to undertake alongside my studies, to help me gain some practical work experience, whilst developing skills that will be vital for any future career.
I am a motivated and reliable student, with good communication skills. I work well independently and as part of a team. I am keen to learn and enjoy taking on new challenges. I am kind, caring and approachable, which I feel are three important traits to have when working with members of the public.
Over the last three years I have completed my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver awards and I am currently working towards my Gold award, which I hope to complete later this year. To obtain these, I have had to learn new skills in cooking, touch typing and driving, complete many hours of voluntary work, take part in and commit to sporting activities and attend group expeditions and residentials. Whilst participating in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme I have strengthened my problem solving and teamwork skills, whilst gaining leadership experience and developing my perseverance.
Another passion of mine is the Combined Cadet Force programme which I have been a part of at school for the last three years. This programme is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and has helped me to further develop my leadership, teamwork and self-discipline skills, through military-themed activities. Through the CCF programme, I have recently completed a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community.
I enjoy spending time in the Lake District with my family, paddle boarding, wake boarding and wake surfing I am a member at my local gym and I like to go a couple of times a week I play hockey both in school and for Fylde Hockey Club
