My passion for the breeding industry has flourished as a result of working under some of the industry's best. I'm eager to expand my knowledge within the thoroughbred industry building contacts and gaining valuable practical experience. My confident horse-riding and horse-handling skills coupled with global experience positions me well for a career in the industry.
Regularly volunteered at events/ local shows to enhance the colleges reputation by showing a high level of competence and knowledge
Adapted to schedules changes working weekends, monitoring mares overnight during foaling season, foaling mares
Producing assignment in topics such as Applied Enterprise Management, Equine Nutrition, Sports Performance Science, Investmnet appraisals and Equine business and managmnet.
Assisted in foal preparation for the sales, weighing and tracking growth rates of yearlings, assisting in breaking 3yos and attended/ prepped TB runners for point to point competitions across Ireland.
Represented CAFRE competing at Necarne International
Worked at Cavan International Finals, coordinated with the administrative team in an efficient manner and assisted the judges in final scoring
Supervised and monitored the safety of 4 children to ensure well being at all times
Encouraged an interactive and engaging environment to build their learning and motor skills

This solidified my passion for the industry particularly in Kentucky. Gaining invaluable experience and working with some of the industry's best. Working with such a range of horses in all divisions allowed me to sharpen my skills and build both my perosnal and professional skills & qualities. The exposure across the board to such a variety of experiences allowed me to gain confidence in my ability and broaden my knowledge within the industry.
Summer position
Gained practical experience in sport horse reproduction and artificial insemination as well as prepping the phantom for collection
Handling mares during teasing and learning how to process semen for shipment
Oversaw the general care of competition horses, schooling on the flat, bandaging, mucking out etc.
Learned and applied new skills on the day to day, demonstrated a professional and friendly attitude. Received positive feedback of always showing a high level of productivity, efficiency and willingness to learn
Assisted in teaching lessons and coordinating with management in preparation for the days schedule
Exercised a range of horses, from sport ponies, competition horses and green horses both flat and jumps
Provided administrative support in cash handling, event planning and customer enquirers.
Responsible for general yard duties including feeding, turning out, prepping, clipping, lunging etc
Enhanced client relationships with professional knowledge of the business and engaged in polite conversation with clients

Outside of work I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family, baking, painting, watching movies and travelling
