· Provide administrative support for the entire Radiology department including but not limited to consultant radiologists, radiographers, radiology nurses and the PACS team.
· Establish a good relationship with referring consultants, medical secretaries, and GP practices to facilitate a coordinated pathway of care for patients.
· Prioritise doctors' workloads accordingly to ensure each practitioner's work is accurately completed on time without delay to patient care.
· Maintain a polite and friendly manner and a high standard of confidentiality in accordance with The Data Protection Act 2018.
· Work as part of a cohesive team showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that the very best service is provided to all patients.
· Responsible for filing all up-to-date correspondence, test results and referral letters into the patients’ notes before returning medical records.
· Ensure all dictation of imaging reports are accurate before finalisation.
· Receive telephone and email from both patients and referrers in a professional and timely manner.
· The primary person responsible for ensuring Radiology subject access requests are met within in a timely manner. This includes securely transferring medical reports and images via IEP and physically in the form of CDs.
· Ensure the accounting and billing activity for the previous day is done before deadline.
· Support the coordination of our multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure consultant engagement and the smooth running of meetings.
· Undertake administrative tasks relating to customer bookings and memberships.
