During my shift i work out the back as a technician. This includes writing the name and date on each piece of pottery with ceramic paint, and prepping the pottery with a clear glaze ready to go in the kiln. On occasion i also work front of house where i assist with seating customers and explaining the process of ceramic painting. When required i package completed items for collection. At the end of my shift i also clean and prep the shop for the next day.

My role as a play worker involved creating safe and secure play spaces, setting up equipment and materials ahead of recreational activities. I assisted children from ages 3 to 11 in their reading and weekly homework tasks, which then flowed through to educational games through play. Due to the number of staff within the team, a rota system was in place for snack prep and clean up.
