Jericho Khaliq

- Developed creative video editing and thumbnail skills, this involved timing video overlays to when they were most appropriate to voice overs, as well as using various video display format to create engaging contrasts in the video.

- Requiring the use of consistency and perseverance. Starting a youtube channel from scratch, meant that I would have to record, edit and upload a video on a consistent basis, whereby my aim was a goal of 3 videos a week.

-Strengthened my public speaking skills by regularly uploading videos. A more crisp and smooth articulation meant for much more efficient editing, and regular uploads helped me to identify the deficiencies in my speech.

- Was Privileged to work with an amazing team, in taking down orders from customers, preparing and assembling their orders, while communicating to the baristas, what we needed. Not only were we responsible for each customer’s order and getting it back to them, we also were responsible for cleaning up during less busy hours, we had to make sure the shelves were stocked properly and fully. We had to keep an eye on things like croissants, and when we were near to running out, we would have to make new ones.

- I learnt to be more competent, and use my initiative more, as the job demanded it of me. During busy times, everyone was quite stressed and therefore it was harder to ask assistance from a fellow co-worker. Times like these forced me to be more proactive in what I was doing. Because of this job, I had experience dealing with coffee shops at peak times and understand how busy things can get.

- I also gained good time management skills, as I would often work a 6:30 am shift, which meant I would have to sleep earlier as to not be sleep derived. This meant I would have to organize my day so that all my tasks were complete by the night.

Here I was tasked with a different style of work. I was responsible for handling stock and managing the stock room for a retail outlet. When we got new shipment, I would be responsible for processing the assets, such that it was unpackaged, tagged and placed in an organized fashion into the stock room. In addition to this, I was also responsible for packing online orders, and responsible for retrieving certain clothes for size checks for customers on the shop floor. During closing time, it was often the case that we had to replenish the clothes on the shop floor. Here, I learnt how to be more efficient with my time, as to complete the work required by the closing shift team.

- Responsible for answering the questions and concerns of prospective students based on my experience studying Physics at University.

- The role involved me representing the school in a professional manner whilst also being able to talk and connect with other students and parents in an approachable and welcoming manner.

-I would frequently give campus tours for other students showcasing the University's various Study spots and outlets, I would show them also where my favorite spots on campus were as well. I would try and make it as engaging as possible by comparing the campus to a map of London. This would help build up excitement as many of the students where new to London as well.

-I would also foster the interest for further education and Stem related courses by sharing stories from my experience.

- Assisted the Support Desk members in replacing old hardware with New state of the arc, Solid State drives.

- Gained valuable knowledge learning how to download new operating systems onto these new PCs.

-I also supported the IT Department in their daily tasks, participated in their weekly meetings, as well as accompanied them supporting other departments in their IT Challenges
