I have worked within the inspection area of engineering for 30 years. I am an accomplished CMM Programmer adept in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS and PC-DMIS, showcasing exceptional precision in metrology. Demonstrates strong leadership in training teams and enhancing quality standards, with a keen eye for geometric tolerancing. I'm able to balance my technical expertise with effective communication, ensuring project success and innovation in measurement techniques. I am capable of working as part of a team, as well as independently. Using a variety of instruments including: micrometers, shadowgraphs, tallysurf and keyence.
I work a 4 day week, working closely with the design team to identify critical dimensions that are required on all parts. CMM programs are written by myself and I am currently training another employee for this role.
Daily duties involved :
I worked on a rotating shift, as the CMM lead inspector, I was in charge of keeping all files up to date and training staff on the use of the CMM and the inspectors to program the CMM.

I ran the metrology department and was the CMM programmer to check engine parts before installation. Primarily I worked closely with Mclaren, I would liaise with their head office in Woking often visiting and quality checking parts on site.

I worked a 4 on 4 off shift, during the week i would work as part of a team, and at weekends unsupervised on my own. I would prioritize my work according to the duty required. Keeping in close contact with the shop floor to make sure all components were to a high standard.
