Work history

Food and Beverage Assistant

Plymouth Argyle
Plymouth, Devon
02.2023 - 05.2023
  • Plymouth Argyle are a championship football team based in Devon. My role was to serve food and beverages to the public during matches.
  • It was a high paced environment where we served customers before, during and after football matches. A total of 30 of us worked around the stadium and at peak times it was very high pressured.
  • I was serving hot and cold beverages (mostly alcoholic) as well as hot and cold food. Plymouth Argyle has a capacity of 17,900 and we were responsible for serving this capacity. I was trained to take payments by Debit/Credit card, Apple Pay and cash.
  • At full time we then cleared the site, which included sorting and separating the plastic waste for recycling.

Warehouse Operative

KW brothers
Plymouth, Devon
11.2021 - 01.2023
  • KW Brothers is a leading oriental supermarket in the South West, supplying most takeaways and restaurants in Devon and Cornwall.
  • I was responsible for picking and packing food and drink items from the warehouse to the fleet of vans for delivery.
  • I had to pack items in correct order depending on the delivery schedule within a busy working food warehouse. This required very structured packing to ensure maximum use of space with the vehicle, while also ensuring all fresh produce remained damage-free. This was all done on a very tight time schedule.
  • I always followed company safety guidelines and regulations ensuring the warehouse was clean and tidy.
  • I was assigned the role of both forklift and pallet mover. I learnt how to work these machines and help the company in any way possible.
  • I was needed at KW brothers at early hours in the morning and was always on time. I often worked extended shifts within harsh refrigerated conditions. I am not scared of hard graft.
