As I support the Energy division, I recently qualified in becoming a Low Carbon Energy Assessor. This involves going to site and surveying buildings based on their energy consumption and producing an DEC (Display Energy Certificate) which produces a rating based on operational usage.

Main duties:

  • Arranging access to site, liaising with client and walk around the building
  • Collecting annual gas and electric data and collate
  • Completing a survey proforma and take pictures for the evidence pack
  • Edit the relevant information into DEC software to produce recommendation report and annual certificate
  • Issue finalised report and certificate to client
