As a former business owner with years of administrative and customer service experience, I can offer a mature, level-headed and unflappable presence within a team. I'm very results-driven and have a great deal of experience working to deadlines. My career in travel has forged in me a strong organisational bent, a comprehensive understanding of team dynamics and an appreciation for a goal-orientated culture within organisations. I am an excellent communicator and an effective project manager who works diligently and efficiently in unsupervised settings. I have extensive experience in customer service and all levels of administration, having run my own business since 2012, and I am extremely motivated to deliver results, especially when others are relying on me.
I have achieved high levels of personal and professional success in the course of my 18 year travel career, with a large client database and excellent review scores and testimonials. I am seeking new opportunities to leverage my skills and contribute to an organisation which engages in meaningful work.
As a Travel Counsellor, I operated a concierge travel business offering comprehensive travel management solutions to corporate and leisure clients. I did this with the support of Travel Counsellors and with access to their branding, marketing and state-of-the-art technology. I was responsible for all aspects of running my travel business, including all marketing, administration, financial reporting, goal setting and controls.
I was awarded Gold Status as a Travel Counsellor within my first year (April 2012 – March 2013)- a South African record. I retained my Gold Status in November 2013, and again in April 2014.
Reason for leaving: End of contract, and time to start my own company
