I am an experienced teacher with nine years in British Curriculum schools, currently working as an online tutor supporting pupils with SEN/SEND who are unable to attend mainstream education, as well as providing private tuition for 7+ and 8+ entrance exam preparation for top London schools. I focus on building strong relationships and creating supportive, high-expectation learning environments where children can make progress and grow in confidence. I am currently completing an MA in Education and continue to develop my practice through both teaching and study.
I provide personalised online tutoring for pupils with SEN/SEND who are unable to attend mainstream education. I use a holistic, trauma-informed approach to adapt learning to each student's individual needs, supporting their academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing. I work closely with learners and families to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that helps vulnerable students overcome barriers to education and achieve positive outcomes.
I planned and delivered engaging lessons that supported all pupils, providing targeted extension activities for higher-ability learners. I also led a twice-weekly after-school club focused on preparing children for the 7+ exams, offering academic challenges, interview coaching, and personalised guidance. In addition, I built strong relationships with parents and supported families in securing places at top London day schools, drawing on a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and the demands of inner-city education.
As Academic Lead, alongside my teaching responsibilities, I supported and promoted high academic standards across the school. I led curriculum planning, monitored pupil progress, and worked closely with staff to ensure consistency in teaching and learning. I also oversaw assessment cycles and supported data analysis to identify areas for development. In addition, I provided coaching and guidance to staff based on performance insights and pupil outcomes.
I developed and implemented strategies to promote high standards of pupils' physical and mental well-being, embedding well-being practices across the school day. I led staff yoga sessions to support teacher well-being and help foster a calm, positive school culture. I refined and enhanced the PSHE curriculum to ensure it met statutory requirements while remaining stimulating, inclusive, and challenging for all learners. Additionally, I promoted cross-curricular learning by designing lessons that made meaningful links between subjects and integrated technology to enhance engagement, creativity, and collaboration in the classroom.
I organised and managed the school’s Sports Day, planning a full day of athletic events that encouraged participation from all pupils, celebrated individual and team achievements, and promoted physical fitness and healthy competition. I also coordinated public speaking competitions, supporting students in developing their confidence, communication skills, and presentation abilities. Additionally, I led the school hockey club, running regular training sessions, coaching pupils on skills and tactics, and fostering teamwork and a positive, inclusive club culture.
I provided clerical and administrative support to engineering teams, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate project documentation. I assisted with data entry, tracked project progress, handled correspondence, and ensured smooth communication between team members and other departments.
I built and maintained strong relationships with new and existing accounts to drive revenue growth, understanding clients’ needs and providing tailored solutions. I proactively identified opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, ensured high levels of customer satisfaction, and collaborated with internal teams to deliver seamless service.
