Over 20 years of experience in the childcare sector, progressing from Nursery Nurse to Nursery Manager. Extensive leadership experience as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with strong knowledge of MASH and LADO procedures. Proven track record in supporting children’s individual needs as SENDCo, including successful EHCP acquisition. Currently serving as Customer Experience Team Leader, enhancing family engagement and managing safeguarding concerns.
Currently, I work in the Nursery Support Office as a Customer Experience Team Leader. In this role, I support families as they begin their early years journey, overseeing communications such as email and phone enquiries, managing complaints, identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns, and ensuring a positive and supportive experience for parents engaging with our nurseries.
In these roles, I developed extensive leadership experience and served as the named Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), building strong knowledge of MASH and LADO procedures. Alongside this, I took on the role of SENDCo, collaborating with Early Years Advisors, Area SENDCos, and Educational Psychologists to ensure children’s individual needs were met, including successfully supporting a child in securing an EHCP.
I have completed a wide range of safeguarding and compliance training, including online courses in British Values, County Lines, FGM, Child Exploitation, Prevent Duty, and Radicalisation. In addition, I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have undertaken advanced safeguarding training.
My experience also includes participating in several Ofsted inspections, one of which I successfully led as Nursery Manager.
