My current post is Revenue Officer with North Lanarkshire Council within the Council Tax, Business Rates and Social Welfare team. I am currently based within with Council Tax team however have an understanding of aspects within Business rates and Social welfare team.

Welfare benefit expertise - A strong knowledge of welfare benefits such as Universal Credit, Housing and council tax reduction and disability benefits and having the experience to advise the customer on eligibility when applying
Income Maximisation - Conducting benefit checks, calculations and maximising the customers income
Communication skills - Excellent communication skills and confident in explaining regulations both verbally and written
Organisational skills - Managing case load, attention to detail and ensure ability to manage under pressure
Empathy and compassion - Able to remain claim and supportive with customers when working with customers in challenging circumstances
