In 2015 I made the decision to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse following my experience working as a Healthcare Assistant for three years in a hospital setting. During this time, I gained valuable exposure across various clinical areas, including Medical and Surgical settings. This role sparked a deep interest and genuine passion in caring for others, ultimately inspiring me to advance my career and undertake my Nursing Honours Degree.
I would describe myself as confident, enthusiastic and a dedicated individual. I approach my work with a positive attitude and a strong sense of pride in the nursing profession. I am reliable, well organised and able to manage my responsibilities effectively. I always ensure my tasks are completed within an appropriate timeframe and to a high standard at all times. I am highly responsive to changes in a patients condition, and manage this accordingly.
Over the past 7 years as a Registered Nurse, I have experienced and developed a broad range of clinical skills, and my experience has been vast across multiple ward and community settings. The settings I have experience in range from Haematology, Gastroenterology, Cardiac, General Medical and Surgical Wards. I have completed several competencies whilst working as a Registered Nurse. I adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct and maintain a professional approach at all times.
I have frequently taken on the role of the Nurse in Charge in my role as a Registered Nurse on acute wards, which has strengthened my ability to prioritise, lead and manage both the ward and team members. This has included appropriately delegating tasks according to skill mix and patients needs. I have had the opportunity in my current role to extend my clinical training and knowledge, this is something I wish to pursue further in my career development.
I am ready to take on the next step in my career, I am eager to take on a greater responsibility. I am passionate about making a difference and I wish to support and guide others in their professional development. I am deeply committed to developing high quality patient centred care and have a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning. I take great satisfaction in sharing knowledge with others and supporting their development. I strongly advocate for evidence-based practice and consistently strive to uphold the highest standard in all aspects of my work.
I know my dedication and passion for learning and leadership will enable me to make a positive contribution to the team I join.
