  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of ten data protection specialists, delivering comprehensive data protection services across the whole of the organisation, including service to the public and engagement with relevant external bodies, ensuring compliance with primary legislation.
  • Assess the impact of information management related issues to the organisation(s), identifying risk, mitigation and best practice. Monitoring and managing organisational compliance and associated plans and returns.
  • Organise the data protection function, ensuring the effective and efficient service provision through the ‘business partner’ model, aligned to the strategic objectives, management and supervision of the Data Protection Team including allocation and redistribution of workloads, training and mentoring, monitoring of performance and determining priorities with particular attention to accountability for the Force and compliance with statutory obligations.
