  • I have learnt to talk to patients and have good communication, being able to stay calm when patients are very anxious
  • Being very precise in the work is important because setting the patient up is a key role and being able to communicate with the other radiographers alongside working in a team
  • Spending a lot of time in the CT made me see the view of how each patient deals with cancer but I was able to stay collective and reassure the patients that there is good team
  • Working with varian machines shows how quick technology development has been and I have been able to adapt to it.

Personal Statement: , I am currently a third-year student at the University of Hertfordshire studying. Radiotherapy and Oncology. In addition to studying, I am working part-time at a care home as a care assistant. The skills I have learnt over a few years have let me develop leadership, teamwork, time management and confidence. The skills I have developed have got me to bring my best abilities to the team, and I have always worked on my weaknesses to bring out the best in the team to show my determination in a work environment.
