Respiratory Health Care Support Worker

NHS
Abergavenny, Monmouthshire
02.2012 - 04.2022

During my time as a respiratory HCSW I have gained a number of valuable skills.

I am an enthusiastic team member who is able to work well as part of a team and independently. I am able to use my initiative to recognise the early warning signs of a deteriorating patient such as high respiratory rate, pyrexic and tachycardic and am able to act upon them accordingly.

Within the respiratory ward I am able to recognise what to do in an emergency situation such as initiating o2 therapy for a patient with low oxygen levels. Manage a patient on NIV/high flow o2, manage patients with chest drains as well as assisting the patient to meet their ADLs with assistance.

I pride myself in providing care to the best of my ability using my excellent communication skills, empathetic manner and knowledge gained throughout my experience.
