I am currently a Master of Architecture Student at the University of Salford looking for the opportunity to develop my skills in a well-established practice. Getting the opportunity to complete my part 1 qualification between my undergraduate and master's degree has given me the chance to gain some hands-on experience that will benefit me in future roles in my career. It has helped me gain an insight into the working world of architectural practices and a higher appreciation for the architect’s role in the construction industry. I hope to continue to develop these skills while contributing to a design-led practice.

Working at HoughTullett helped improve my people skills and communication within the industry, particularly with clients and other disciplines. I had the opportunity to work on multiple different projects alongside each other helping develop my time management and organisation skills.
Foresters Walk
A main project I was involved in was to design two, new build, detached houses in Backbarrow, Cumbria. The houses are2 1/2 story, with access from two different levels, as the site has a slope with height different of 5metres. Having such an active role in this project gave me a greater understanding of how important it is to work closely with clients and how planning applications work. The project gave me confidence with presenting my ideas, both to my colleagues at work and clients.
