Summary

In supporting my application I want to add to the essential criteria of qualifications and experience.

From the years 2008 to 2018 I worked as a practitioner in an early years setting supporting children in their learning and development under the early years foundation statutory framework, working alongside my colleagues as an effective team member planning, observing, writing idps and tracking, implementing the children's next steps to ensure their individual needs are Metin all the learning areas. All documentation recorded was added on to their online tapestry journal for parents and carers to refer to and add any supporting information. My role also included supporting the childrens transition to school, liasinig with teachers and writing reports.
In 2016/17 I returned to college and went onto achieve my level 4 certificate for the early years advanced practitioner coevering 5 specific areas:

Working with others to support children with additional needs SENCO

Enabling children to learn

Promoting health and well being through nutrition and physical activity PANCO

Implementing change to an early years setting

In 2018 I went to work for Becc Support as a complex care assistant, working with children with life limiting complex needs. With training and support of my colleagues and nurse manager I completed all my clinical competency skills (listed in duties) and was competent to care for two children in their home environment providing care and support through out the night for the child and family. I also worked a second role privately for a family and their 3 year old daughter assisting her cares and bedtime routine, I delegated this along with my homelife and night shift work. Sadly the little girl passed away in December 2019.

In 2019 i was delighted to be given the role as a complex care practitioner. It was a great opportunity to allow me to develop my existing clinical skills and gain more experience with other children and their families throughout the yorkshire region. I became more involved with a greater responsibility at a higher level working alongside my CCNM in setting up new care packages, working with other agencies multidisciplinary team, local NHS community team, the role gave me new skills in administration, conflict management and effective communication, training of new recruited staff ensuring they also follow company guidelines and policies such as health and safety, infection control, moving and handling, risk assessment and safeguarding . In my role I have also assisted children to school and worked in their setting supporting their clinical needs such a as tracheostomy ventilation medication and feed care.
