From the years 2008 to 2018 I worked as a practitioner in an early years setting supporting children in their learning and development under the early years foundation statutory framework, working alongside my colleagues as an effective team member planning,observing,writing idps and tracking,implementing the children's next steps to ensure their individual needs are Metin all the learning areas. All documentation recorded was added on to their online tapestry journal for parents and carers to refer to and add any supporting information. My role also included supporting the childrens transition to school, liasinig with teachers and writing reports.
In 2016/17 I returned to college and went onto achieve my level 4 certificate for the early years advanced practitioner coevering 5 specific areas:
Working with others to support children with additional needs SENCO
Enabling children to learn
Promoting health and well being through nutrition and physical activity PANCO
Implementing change to an early years setting
In 2018 I went to work for Becc Support as a complex care assistant, working with children with life limiting complex needs. With training and support of my colleagues and nurse manager I completed all my clinical competency skills (listed in duties) and was competent to care for two children in their home environment providing care and support through out the night for the child and family. I also worked a second role privately for a family and their 3 year old daughter assisting her cares and bedtime routine, I delegated this along with my homelife and night shift work. Sadly the little girl passed away in December 2019.
In 2019 i was delighted to be given the role as a complex care practitioner. It was a great opportunity to allow me to develop my existing clinical skills and gain more experience with other children and their families throughout the yorkshire region. I became more involved with a greater responsibility at a higher level working alongside my CCNM in setting up new care packages, working with other agencies multidisciplinary team, local NHS community team, the role gave me new skills in administration, conflict management and effective communication, training of new recruited staff ensuring they also follow company guidelines and policies such as health and safety, infection control, moving and handling, risk assessment and safeguarding . In my role I have also assisted children to school and worked in their setting supporting their clinical needs such a as tracheostomy ventilation medication and feed care.

Working alongside my nurse manager and as part of a team to provide and assist in start up of care packages for children with complex are needs. This role includes delivering training to newly recruited staff until they reach their competency level in clinical skills. We support the child and family with all aspects of specialist care, personal care and daily living. The clinical training I deliver:
Ventilation
Tracheostomy care
Gastrostomy, jejunostomy and nasogastric tube care and feeding
Cough assist and chest physiotherapy
Oxygen therapy
Medication administration, medication formulas, 6RRR's
Pulse oximetry monitoring
Personal care and continence care
Family intervention
Clinical observation
Contribute to the legality and accuracy of all the patients care plan/daily documentation and other reports and the effectiveness of established communication.
Participate in regular meetings and attend other meetings as requested
Assuring all teams members are responsible for behaving a manner that doesn't not put themselves, children and young people, familes and other team members in danger or at risk in the care environment.
Maintain confidentiality and data protection ,following company polices abs procedures.
