I am a confident hardworking person who loves sports and technology. I have a deeper understanding for technology and feel that I know more about computers and phones than most people do. My goal for the future is to become an IT support Technician with the skills to solve any problems to do with computers and networks and I believe that with the skills I have now I will be able to achieve that goal and potentially go further than that, maybe working with a big IT company or creating an IT related business of my own.
I started at IKEA working on in the click and collect area. My average shift consisted of me taking down customers orders and going into the marquee to retrieve the items. Overtime more opportunities presented themselves to me and I was able to learn how to do the different jobs that other departments have to do. After two years at IKEA click and collect I have developed many skills and I am now in charge of dealing customer orders, delivery's, customer order returns, and item exchanges.
With delivery's when customers order items online to be sent to their homes it is my duty to ensure the fulfillment team know what items need to be picked and to then make sure that the order is given to the right delivery drivers so it can be delivered on the arranged date.
With the returns customers who have purchased items and have decided that they do not like it, which can be due to various reasons or have decided that they simply no longer want it, I then have to arrange for those items to be collected from the customers house and then brought back to our store so our fulfillment team can get those items back on the shop floor ready to be sold. So far at IKEA I have developed my communication skills through speaking to customers and phone calls, my confidence, time management skills and organization skills.
