I am a mature, friendly and ambitious individual, who has the drive and ambition to embark on an escalating career journey. I am willing to seek and maintain a full-time position that offers professional challenges utilising interpersonal skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills. I am excellent at absorbing constructive criticism and feedback to ensure I am working at the pinnacle of my ability.
As a volunteer at Hope 4 Newham, I undertake various tasks in order to facilitate the distribution of food and essentials to the designated families. My duties consist of: unloading food from the delivery van, sorting the food, then packing them in assigned bags, ready for collection, demonstrating exemplary organisation skills. Due to the tight time-scales involved in the delivery, unpacking, sorting and distribution of the food parcels, I have been able to showcase my excellent time-management skills and ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
As a volunteer I am involved in fundraising and raising awareness of the charity and the work it undertakes to support vulnerable families in the local community. This includes promoting on social media and taking part in fundraising events such as quiz nights and sales which generate much-needed funds for the organisation. Partaking in fundraising opportunities has helped to develop my communication skills and built my confidence in talking to a wide range of people in the promotion of the charity.
I attend quarterly volunteers' meetings; these meetings help to ensure that I stay updated on safeguarding, health and safety, my responsibilities and any new referrals which may require specific support.
