Jaswanth Veerappan Tamilselvan

Building on a strong foundation in nuclear science and practical experience in radioisotope production, currently expanding knowledge in medical imaging, dosimetry, and radiation protection through medical physics studies. Interests include detector development and clinical imaging physics, and eager to engage in opportunities that further strengthen technical skills and align with long‑term goal of contributing to clinical medical physics.

• In-house Project (2020): Performed the efficiency
  calculation of G.M. Counter using Beta(90Sr) and
  Gamma(137Cs) sources for various distances from the
  detector.
• Minor Project (2021): Effect of Compton Scattering on
  the energy spectrum of a gamma-ray detector.
• Major Project (2022): Simulation studies of Si
  detector using Geant4 to estimate the energy loss of alpha
  particles in air.
• Publication (2023): Probing air pressure in the
  measurement of stopping powers of the alpha particles in a
  very small-size detection system - (INMM)

• EDXRF spectroscopy – [April (2021)]
  Attempts were made to understand the principles for an EDXRF
  spectrometer, using Monte Carlo simulations, using the XMI-MSIM toolkit.
• SDS LIFE SCIENCE PVT.LTD – [January (2023)]
  Production of ⁹⁹Mo – ⁹⁹ᵐTc generators. Conceptualization and
  correlative analysis of elution profiles for medical radioisotope ⁹⁹Mo-⁹⁹ᵐTc activity generator for clinical diagnostic purposes.
