Accomplishments

I like to think I have had a successful career in the Public sector. Probably my greatest achievement was standing in an election as an Independent candidate in a Labour stronghold and having the biggest majority in all wards in Blaenau Gwent. This lead to me being the youngest Cllr at the time to be elected, I also served for 4 years as the Executive member for Leisure and was instrumental in the development of the works site in Ebbw Vale with new Leisure Centre, 3-16 school and the new College Gwent facilities. On a personal note I led on the refurbishment & reopening of Bedwellty House & Park in 2010 which was a 11 million pond project. In my manifesto of 1999 I stated I would campaign vigorously for the refurbishment works and was delighted to reopen the park myself .
