I became a highly skilled barista and waiter, upholding consistently high standards of customer service during busy times. As supervisor, I regularly undertook maintenance checks, identifying daily challenges and mitigating risks through proactivity and communication amongst staff and management. I also trained staff members in a range of roles including operating coffee machines safely, serving and interacting with customers in a polite and distinguished manner reflective of the reputation of the establishment.
In this customer facing position, I greatly improved my communication and customer service abilities at Vue, learning how to handle the pressures of a fast-paced, corporate company. I completed a range of training courses, such as safeguarding, food hygiene, and health and safety.

During this temporary position, I was responsible for a variety of activities such as stock replenishment and rotation, identification checks, transaction processing, and cash drawer management. Working during Christmas during the Covid period taught me how to adjust to the shifting environment and high demands of the holiday season.
Here, I cooked and prepared food for customers and became skilled in the necessary food hygiene procedures. In addition to other cleaning responsibilities, I cleaned the floors and surfaces. I'd finish my evening shifts by preparing things for the next day and making sure the shop was in a clean and presentable order.
