
Dedicated and collaborative professional with over 10 years’ experience working in the sport of gymnastics and more than 20 years as an active participant in the sport. Brings a strong background in coaching and programme delivery, alongside the leadership capability to convene teams, share insight, prioritise action, and drive meaningful outcomes across clubs and schools. Passionate about the growth and long-term sustainability of gymnastics, with a clear focus on increasing participation, accessibility, and enjoyment of the sport.
After completing the British Gymnastics apprenticeship, progression was made into a managerial role as a fully qualified Level 3 Women’s Artistic Coach at Baskerville’s Gymnastics Club. Currently serving as Manager and Head Coach for both girls’ and boys’ squad programmes, also responsible as club Welfare Officer.
The role includes planning and delivering high-quality training for gymnasts of all ages and abilities and developing individual development plans to support physical, psychological, and social growth. Communication with parents is maintained regarding events, payments, and gymnast progress.
As Welfare Officer, coaches are kept updated on systems, policies, and safeguarding procedures. Concerns from coaches, parents, or gymnasts are addressed professionally, with sensitive situations handled with care, clarity, and discretion to ensure member wellbeing.
Coaching experience has developed adaptability, strong communication, patience, and goal-focused approach. Managerial responsibilities include developing future coaches through leading training sessions, overseeing and shadowing coaching, and providing constructive feedback to support professional growth.
Alongside personal training, coached intermediate squad gymnasts with a focus on preparing athletes for competitive performance. During this period, work also began towards the British Gymnastics UKCC Level 2 qualification to enhance coaching knowledge and practical expertise.
Began coaching trampoline gymnastics for recreational-level gymnasts, successfully earning the British Gymnastics UKCC Core Proficiency Award and Level 1 Award. Additionally, led weekly training sessions at Three Ways School, a specialised school supporting individuals with physical and sensory needs.
