Bartender

sub 13
Bath, Somerset
12.2025 - 03.2026

This job at Sub 13 included all the tasks of my previous jobs, and more. It's a very intense, active atmosphere, including three bars and a downstairs nightclub. Every weekend, we would be at maximum capacity, and throughout the week, we would host bookings, for example, hen parties. student parties, work dues, and many more. We would also host bookings on the weekends. I pronoun worked here over Christmas and New Year, New Year being our biggest night of the year. I would often get credited for my efforts in the workplace by colleagues and customers, earning a lot in tips. I really enjoy working here, making cocktails, talking, and making the night a better experience for all. I would say this has been the most challenging job I have worked, but it's a challenge I'm up for.

Bartender

Opium bar
Bath, Somerset
06.2025 - 09.2025

The Opium Bar was my first official job. I was 18, and as it was my first job, I found the opening few weeks challenging, but shortly I adapted to the scene and type of role it was. As my first job, I think it went very well; it helped me with my confidence to ask questions, talk to customers, and not do the bare minimum for the best experience for both parties. I remember when I made my first tip after two customers returned to me all night for my cocktails. It felt like an achievement because it told me that they enjoyed being in our company and decided to tip. This first job opened my eyes to the world of hospitality and catering, specifically bartending, and embarked me on a path. Roles included very similar tasks at Sub 13, as well as the Spirit Bar and Second Bridge although here i would run drinks to tables. And everything you could imagine occurs in a bar to maintain the best experience.
