I am an ambitious and enthusiastic undergraduate student studying Digital Marketing at Oxford Brookes University, seeking for a placement year within the motorsport and automotive world. I have been heavily interested in these sectors from a very young age, and as I have progressed through my education, I have undertaken a number of work experiences within automotive marketing. Being at university and studying a Marketing degree has further enhanced my understanding of marketing strategies, social media marketing, B2B and B2C relations and data gathering and analysis. I am eager to land my future within a motorsport team or automotive company, as it is my one big passion, and I am keen to excel within its Marketing department.
Took up a role working at Royal Ascot 2025, specifically in the corporate hospitality sector. I was a food and beverage assistant in 'The Lawn Club,' where I was serving and interacting with high paying guests behind the buffet, as well as briefly attending their tables when the venue was at full capacity, which was across the full week.
I was praised very highly during my stint here. I was made Employee of the Day on two occasions, with the venue manager complimenting my exceptional hospitality and people skills.
Overall, this role required me to:
I spent just under a week working with the HR and PR teams at Veritas, a global software sales business. I was tasked with doing market and journalist research for the PR team in advance of an event they were holding. I also spent time work shadowing a HRBP and the International Head of People Development.
I spent a few days working mainly with the projects department, I returned in 2025 to spend more time in my preferred department (marketing). During my first stint, I attended meetings with the Head Of Design and Projects, gaining deeper insights into how an automotive company operates.
At this point in time, they were developing the interior for the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, and being in an environment where everyone was working on this car further sparked my passion for the automotive and motorsport industry.
