10/2019, 12/2019, Franklin scholar, I had the responsibility of being a mentor for a year 7 student that was delegated to me. I need to help navigate the year 7 through secondary school and make sure that they were okay and didn't have any problems starting at a new school. I learnt compassion and patience here as some subjects discussed in 1 on 1 meetings can be sensitive or year 7s may be more secluded and introverted than others.
