Summary

I'm a consultant, author and guest speaker currently residing in Scotland, with specialisms in policing, harm reduction, public health, childhood domestic abuse and vulnerability.

With over two decades of experience, I focus on promoting trauma-aware care, addressing the challenges faced by communities, children, young people and marginalised populations in relation to organised crime and criminalisation.

I have been part of the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association (GLEPHA) since 2016 and continue to support this network at the present day.

I regularly write commentaries or good standards of practice for Policing Insight, mainly on public health, organised crime and community safety/wellbeing. I have also given advisory pieces to the Vulnerability and Policing Futures Research Centre.

I use my lived and professional experience to encourage generative and transformative approaches for children and young people who have experienced childhood adversity, community disadvantage and violence.

I have been published in a number of networks in relation to good practice in child welfare and safeguarding.

I excelled in higher education having gained several qualifications in advanced research methods, public health, criminology, sociology, leadership and management - for many of these, I earned a top distinction.

I am looking for paid consultancy work, either in the UK or International work. I have a keen interest in an asset-based approach.
