Creative and driven individual with flair for design and strong organisational skills, committed to contributing fresh ideas and supporting creative projects.
During my working life I have had the opportunity to develop the design team in IKEA and travel to new store set ups and openings. I have rolled out training to in house teams and re build teams. Following a period where I cared for our young family I re trained and became a teaching assistant in the UK where I achieved level 3 NVQ, in the US I studied for two similar qualifications in child care. Whilst in the UK I have been a leader of our local rainbows and brownies groups.
Over the past 9 years I have lived in Thailand and then Wisconsin, US. This has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in local culture and appreciate new communities who quickly became a family away from home.
My hobbies include quilting, a skill I learnt in Wisconsin and for which I hold a huge passion for sharing my knowledge.
