• Working across all programme genres including Comedy, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Live Entertainment, Factual Entertainment, Specialist Factual and Documentaries. All digital and social branded entertainment 'paid for' content.
• Attending meetings with production and commissioning at an early stage, providing clear, enabling, concise advice throughout the production process - pre and post broadcast.
• Working on high-profile series such as 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown; Educating Yorkshire, One Born Every Minute, Virgin Island, 24 Hours in A&E, Four In A Bed, Countdown and live shows including Steph’s Packed Lunch and many new digital series for C4 YouTube channel 4.0 and social platforms.
• Clearing press releases, billings and marketing trails (on-line, digital and linear).
• ·Advising on protecting under 18's; fair dealing, fairness and privacy; filming with under-18’s; fact-checking, commercial references, checking suitability for scheduling pre and post watershed.
• Advising on and drafting bespoke Duty of Care/Welfare and filming protocols for production. Dealing with on-going contributor issues pre and post tx.
• Commercial compliance – advising on sponsorship, ad-funded programmes and product placement. Awareness of the BCAP and ASA guidelines.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations around HFSS/LHF in programming and on digital platforms.
• Provide fast-turnaround advice to the Partnership and Digital Commissioning teams developing new business in Social Branded Entertainment/’Paid for’ content. Being proficient in all the commercial rules and regulations – seeing projects through to fruition on social platforms and YouTube/TVC’s.
• Ethics: Give sound advice on potential ethical issues affecting content.
• ·Dealing with viewer enquiries and complaints: Investigating, responding to, and defending Ofcom or viewer complaints.

• Advising and managing regulatory and compliance matters on all programmes across all ITV Platforms ensuring content was transmission ready and fully compliant with the Ofcom Code.
• Advising on commissioned programmes across all genres: Entertainment, Reality, Sport, Daytime, Factual Entertainment, Drama, Comedy, Sponsorship, Competitions and quiz shows.
• Responsible for programmes including: Judge Rinder, The Real Housewives of Cheshire, The Only Way Is Essex, and live show, The Voice.
• Commercial compliance - including sponsorship.

Complying at script stage, advising on high profile and sometimes controversial Dramas including:

Top Boy; Cucumber; Babylon; No Offence, Hollyoaks; Misfits; Shameless; Skins;

Mad Fat Diary; Southcliffe; Utopia; Fresh Meat; and This Is England. Ensuring all programmes are compliant with Ofcom regulations.

• Attending read-throughs, building relationships with writers, producers and directors. Dealing with day to day compliance issues often including the filming of under 18's.
• Advising on suitability for pre and post watershed. Certifying trails and all tasks involved in getting the dramas broadcast.

Assitant to the Deputy Head of Compliance.

Organising meetings, diary managment and dealing with confidential issues. Attending industry meetings for PhonePayPlus and ATVod.

Learning to comply programmes and understanding TV regulations (Ofcom).
