I enjoy working in a business that I am proud of. I have always worked as a professional and have high expectations of my employer but more especially of myself.
I worked as a silver service waitress at St Enodoc Hotel, Rock many years ago and worked in hospitality during my university years. I have a background initially in accountancy and am therefore numerate and conscientious, but have more recently been in educational settings working as a teacher and have developed strong communication skills, the ability to prioritise and be extremely flexible! I can work independently but enjoy working as part of a team. I am passionate about education and making a difference and enjoy learning. I am a calm person and very patient and my previous role in Sennen Primary School involved constant multi-tasking.
I am passionate about the Arts and play the flute and recorders as well as sing in an amateur capacity. I belong to the Golowan Band. I go to the theatre, concerts, art galleries and cinema as often as I can. I enjoy hiking and swimming.
I am currently volunteering as a Befriender for NYAS, at the Acorn theatre and the Street food Project.
I enjoy cooking for family and have many years experience of making a meal in the kitchen or dining room a hub for entertaining family and friends.
I take out a young person who is in foster care, once a month and do fun social activities.
