During my career as a registered ODP, I have had the opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Centre. This allowed me to work between both adult and children's theatres, contributing to the perioperative care of patients in all age groups. Working in a trauma centre allowed me to gain some valuable experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team within the department I worked, and in other areas of surgery, Maxillofacial, Breast, Plastics and Orthopaedics

My main role as a scrub practitioner allows me to work within a multidisciplinary team environment. I work full time on a rota basis, working varied shifts. I specialise in General and Vascular theatres carrying out both elective and emergency surgeries.

Prepare operating theatres for surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments were sterile and available. Ensured sterile conditions in the operating room. Provided comprehensive pre-operative care to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort before surgery.
