After leaving school in 2008, I started working as a traditional window cleaner for a small local business based in Thurrock, Essex. I began as a ladder man, cleaning the ups. Over time, as I gained experience, I took on more responsibilities, building a good repour with customers, managing payments, and keeping track of paperwork.

The owner often went on holiday, and I was entrusted with running the business in his absence, which I truly appreciated. I understood the level of trust placed in me and was always happy to step up and ensure everything ran smoothly.

I was also often sent out in a van with a team working under me, and at times, I worked alone. This has given me the ability be a part of a team and on my own. I have a solid understanding of how the business operates, and on occasion, I was responsible for pricing jobs and securing new customers.

I’ve also done a lot of door-to-door canvassing, which I genuinely enjoy. I love the excitement of bringing in new customers and growing the round.

Since November, my brother and I have been renovating a large property that we purchased as an investment. We wanted a new challenge and something a bit different to take on. Now that the project is nearly complete and we're pleased with how it's coming together, I'm looking for a role that suits me in the coming weeks.
