Jamie Reid

During my time working as a golf caddie at Carnoustie, providing an excellent level of customer service is my main priority so that my player enjoys their round I am responsible for communicating with the caddie master, collecting and carrying my players bag, arriving on the first tee before my player arrived for their tee time, keeping their clubs clean and giving the player knowledge on the course I have developed excellent communication skills through this position and am able to speak to people from all different backgrounds and ages and have the ability to build strong relationships I also gained experience with cash handling as I have to pay the caddie master before each round and am paid in cash by my player at the end of the round I work as a team with other caddies in my group but also with little supervision on the golf course

Last year I was selected to be a school vice captain in my sixth year My main responsibilities were to deliver weekly assemblies and act as a role model to the younger pupils I was also the school football captain where strong leadership and team work skills are required both on and off the field While at school I completed a wide range of courses that includes setting up and dismantling sports equipment, including football goals, badminton and also the trampolines

As a very keen golfer, I am experienced in managing high pressure scenarios which I have to handle well I have developed good time management skills to balance golf, work and social life
