Work History

Security Resource Allocator

Heathrow Airport
London, Middlesex
11.2024 - Current

As a Resource Allocator my role is very dependent on having clear communication skills with a wide range of people to prevent misunderstanding, such as over the radio making sure that the operation is able to run smoothly and cohesively. Building working relationships and establishing strong rapport with the stakeholders e.g Operational Managers, Officers, Airline crew and those in APOC to promote positive relations and effective cooperation across all platforms.

The use of IT is what we use to keep up to date on how the operation is doing by using systems including Better Security, OPM and CCTV to use the resource available to make the progression through security a better experience for passengers by reducing wait times.

Airport Security Officer

Heathrow Airport
London, Middlesex
09.2022 - 11.2024

As a security officer on a daily basis I monitored X-ray equipment screens to evaluate luggage contents, making sure that all passengers are not carrying any prohibited objects on them. If there was any prohibited items I followed the standard operational procedures to make sure the item was taken care of.

Prevented security breaches through continuous monitoring, enhancing staff and passenger safety by making sure to follow the guidelines set by CAA, DfT and Heathrow; keeping up to date on training with current and new prohibited objects and devices.

Applied outstanding communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and passengers, by working with a wide range of staff and passengers with different needs and abilities.

Classroom Assistant

Lindon Bennett School
Hanworth, Hounslow
04.2020 - 03.2022

As a classroom assistant my duties included creating a safe and interesting learning environment for the children and their additional needs.

This included making suitable learning resources based on the children's development levels as well as monitoring the children progress and development in correlation to their targets and using the correct documentation; making the teacher aware to make sure the learning is continuous during lessons.

A main part of being a classroom assistant is to create an environment where the children are able to learn independent skills using their preferred form of communication (verbal, PEC'S, Makaton)

Also, my role as a classroom assistant meant that I had to stay up do date in necessary training for the children's needs; such as team teach training and safeguarding trainings well as suitable behavioural management techniques.

Throughout my time as a classroom assistant I have been able to develop my understanding of Autism and ADHD as well as being able to build a friendship with the children I work with to be able to help them through their times of crisis, providing personal care when necessary as well as working with a team to ensure the best interest of the children.

Catering Assistant

Squires Garden Centre
Shepperton, Surrey
12.2016 - 03.2019

My role includes maintaining high standard quality assurance, checking food and drinks meet standards prior to service, dealing with customer complaints and ensuring health and hygiene standards are maintained.

I assisted managers with cashing up and have helped train new staff on a range of duties such as how to use machines safely and correctly (grinder, milk steamer, tills, dishwasher).

A main role of the job as a Catering Assistant was to ensure the cleanliness and usability of crockery, cutlery and utensils for smooth-running, high-functioning kitchen operations for a variety of dietary requirements. Also making sure the coffee and food preparation areas were cleaned and sanitised to maintain standards of the business hygiene standards. By being a team player would allow the team as a whole to make sure that there is smooth service and that all of the main parts of the cafe were fully stocked.

Also, having good customer service skills by being able to efficiently use tills and make coffee orders quickly and accurately to meet the demands of the customer to maintain the level of service. When a customer has a question about some coffee styles I was able to provide knowledge of how to produce some specific styles providing a better experience for the customer.
