- I had previouly been a member of PSYV (Police Scotland Youth Volunteer) programme for 7 years. I started as a youth volunteer and have taken part in so many exciting opportunities here are a few to give you an idea, I have helped at Gala Days, leaflet drops, Cumnock Highland Games, Dog Shows, open days at Dumfries House including working alongside Chinese Police Cadets, Car Rallies, Rally Racing event, working with disabled adults at the riverside centre, events to raise awareness of cancer and other charities such as road or bike races and also did Christmas events for adults and children. In my last year as a youth I became a senior volunteer after leaving the youth side of the volounteers i later moved onto being a Staff Volunteer, this includes supporting the younger members and running the weekly sessions.
