Summary

I've spent over ten years working in healthcare and leadership positions, and during that time I've always focused on supporting people to live well, empowering staff to feel confident in their roles, and making sure care is both safe and personal. What really stood out to me about your organisation is the emphasis you place on individuality and helping people reach their goals — it's exactly how I believe care should be.

My career has given me a mix of hands-on care and management experience. At Hartley House, I worked as part of the senior team, leading staff and supporting residents directly. With South East Coast Ambulance Service, I developed strong leadership skills in a fast-moving environment, mentoring colleagues and making sure teams stayed calm and effective under pressure. More recently, in my role as Senior Healthcare Assistant and Phlebotomist at Ashford Medical Partnership, I've been combining clinical work with infection control responsibilities, which has strengthened my ability to balance compassion with compliance.

I've also worked on the operational side of healthcare. As Employee Fulfilment and Projects Manager, I led staff engagement projects and supported HR initiatives to improve retention and morale. This gave me valuable experience in managing resources, maintaining standards, and making sure staff feel supported — all things I know are vital when running supported living and residential services.

I believe what I bring is a balance of empathy and structure. I want services to be safe and well-run, but also homely, inclusive, and focused on the people who live there. I enjoy building strong relationships with families and professionals, speaking up for the people we support, and creating a positive team culture where staff feel motivated and valued.

I'd be really pleased to bring my experience and passion for care to Canterbury Oast Trust. The chance to help people with learning disabilities live fulfilling lives is something I feel strongly about, and I'd love the opportunity to contribute to your team.

Thank you for your time, and I'd welcome the chance to talk further about how I could support your services.
