- Working at Card factory as a sales assistant helped me gain a lot of useful skills speaking with customers on a weekly basis, a valuable insight when working with the public. Therefore, I gained the skill to speak to strangers listening to what they requested and then helping them with it. This position also gave me the skills to be more independent and to use my own initiative. In addition to this I loved working in an organised team there because it helped me to gain a lot of experience for example working hard at a fast rate, helping my fellow colleagues if needed and discussing their ideas and opinions I find this very important because this helped to create a respect each other and great a positive environment around the shop. Furthermore i demonstrated products effectively leading to increased sales conversions, ensured stock replenishment in a timely manner to maintain product availability and addressed customer needs promptly, resulting in positive feedback and loyalty.
Ambient Worker
ASDA
- Working at ASDA as an ambient worker helped me to gain a lot of different skills like working in a fast-paced team, good communication skills to help the team and customers and organisation skills. An example for when I showed good teamwork skills was when we were facing, I would pick out different items that weren't in the right place and pass them to my fellow colleague where they were next to the correct item. This position also gave me the skills to be more independent and use my own initiative. As well as this I loved working in an organised team as it helped me to gain experience with how to sort everything around the shop and the pace you must be at when putting the items on the shelf from the cages. Additionally i performed equipment checks, ensured the shop was a safe working environment and completed the tasks efficiently.
