Summary

I am a passionate and capable individual with a flair for and enjoyment in a busy working environment. I am conscientious, reliable, adaptable, punctual, well-motivated and a hard worker. I enjoy working as part of a team as well as working on my own initiative. I have significant previous experience in front line and management roles within the railway industry, having started at entry level and worked my way up to managerial positions. I joined Network Rail as a Crossing Keeper in 2002. I have subsequently gained experience within the business in several areas, having moved to a Flexi Crossing Keeper and then the signalling grades from a Resident Grade Signaller to a Shift Signaller Manager at Colchester PSB, then moving to become a Train Running Controller at Romford Rail Operating Centre. I then moved to the managerial side of the business in 2020 as a SDM (Service Delivery Manager) at Liverpool Street SDC (Service Delivery Centre). I see problem solving as a key part of my day-to-day work whether in relation to members of staff or in respect of operational issues. I am keen to progress within the industry, develop myself and believe the above demonstrates that I have the skills and motivation to do so within the rail sector. References available on request.
