Summary

I was a conscientious apprentice. I tried to ensure I was first in to the training ground and last to leave.

As I have said team working is my great strength. By its very nature football is a team game and unless you are prepared to work as a team you will not get the best result for that team. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts was a mantra that was drilled into us on the training ground.

I am an independent person and think I am somewhat of a natural leader - I have captained teams throughout my life and it is essential to have the authority to make yourself heard and to gain the respect of your team-mates.

I moved to Colchester after finishing Secondary School to try to fulfill my ambition of becoming a professional footballer. The job involved training, building up to match days and obviously playing against other Under 18 and Under 21 football teams. There were other responsibilities such as ensuring equipment for the First Team was laid out, cleaning the First Team's player's boots etc.

There was also an Education programme where I completed the BTEC Course.

Skills

I am interested in a Quantity Surveying apprenticeship as I believe I have many skills that I can bring to the role I am used to being part of a team and working together with others to facilitate the best outcome I am a good communicator and enjoy talking to people and meeting new people My football apprenticeship taught me a lot about time management, resilience and commitment I am an independent person and am comfortable being left to my own devices - I moved to Colchester from Southampton at 16 years old and enjoyed every minute of it My hobbies are still sports based and I still enjoy playing Semi-Professional football with Bashley

I am familiar with operating a laptop and did IT throughout my school career I am a very organised person who ensures I am always smart and punctual I will plan ahead the night before any given day to ensure last minute issues are avoided I have GCSE maths and at school I regularly worked on projects that involved date analysis and statistics I would hope to be able to apply these skills in a work setting
