
I partook in a Disney International Program over the summer of 2025. I worked in merchandising in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, in Disney's Hollywood Studios. In this role, I learned how to work as a team with people from across the globe, giving me an understanding of different cultures. Further, I learned how to exercise good communication skills with people at all levels of fluency in English, exercising patience and professionalism. Disney is a prestigious global company whose main goal is guest experience, to make sure the parks are an inclusive environment where all are welcome, which I helped deliver.
In this role, I am an active Panel Member for the Children's Hearing System. For this role, I read cases concerning a child, and then listen to all of the family members, and then I in conjunction with my other panel members will decide for the child, in the child's best interest. In this role, I have to make sure that I listen impartially, and empathetically and make sure that everyone who comes to the panel is heard. Further in this role, I have to comply with strict GDPR measures, as all of the information I receive about the child is highly sensitive.
In this role, I help make the law more accessible to people in the community. To do this, we visit local high schools giving educational workshops to pupils, based on areas of the law that are of importance to them or are of interest. We ensure that the law is interestingly presented to them, that is, engaging for them. Further, I need to ensure that I work as a team with my fellow Street Lawyers to be prepared, using time management skills to ensure that workshops run to schedule.
n this role, I actively engaged in raising awareness about the Holocaust, its historical significance, and its lessons for contemporary society. I advocate the importance of Holocaust education in schools and communities, emphasising the need to combat antisemitism, prejudice and discrimination. Further, I collaborate closely with Holocaust Education Trust (HET) staff, fellow ambassadors, and community partners to coordinate events, educational initiatives, and commemorative activities. I also lead efforts to promote Holocaust education throughout Scotland, and actively participate in HET events and initiatives in both Scotland and London, including educational workshops, furthering the organisation's impact and outreach efforts.
In this role, I actively contribute to the betterment of the community by volunteering with my local tenants and residents federation. Further, I show dedication and commitment to community service, actively contributing time and effort to support the goals and objectives of the federation. I also contribute with other volunteers and community leaders to advocate for improvements in housing conditions, neighbourhood safety, and access to essential services.
In this role, I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through interactions with clients, legal professionals and court personnel, fostering positive professional relationships within the legal community. Further, I demonstrated adaptability and initiative by assisting with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the law firm. I also enhanced my understanding of criminal law procedures and regulations through observation and involvement in various stages of criminal
law.
