Summary

I am currently in my second year working as an Exam Invigilator in a independent school . This role has provided me with experience in room set-up, procedure implementation and student monitoring. I can conduct and see through the exams from start to finish working in accordance with strict guidelines for examinations. In addition to this, I have been able to be a calm and reassuring presence for students, ensuring that they feel settled and confident moving into their exam.

I am dependable and a reliable team player, passionate about providing fun and safe environments for children to thrive in. This has been both as a full time mother to four children the past seven years, but also professionally whilst childminding and working within the nursery setting. I am able to create professional, caring bonds with the children in my care and work towards individual goals based around each childs' specific needs.

Special and additional needs is an area I have a passion for and experience in. I have a desire to see each child develop and succeed in their own journey, achieving their own best outcomes and celebrating each milestone as they reach it. My son, was the catalyst for me developing a passion in this area because he has a rare genetic condition with many complex needs, to which I have a personal wealth of knowledge and experience. A brief summery of this being NG feeding tubes, autism, physical development delays, the use of splints and walking frames and global development delays.

I believe my personal experience has shaped me into a caring practitioner; having a genuine interest in child development. I bring strong communication and organisational skills to foster positive learning environment for young children. During my time as a childminder I have proven the ability to support educational activities and maintain safe, clean, and engaging setting.

I can work independently and enjoy working as a team, working well with colleagues in preparation for student learning. I believe that a combination of patience, clear routines and excellent communication skills are needed to encourage and engage children to be comfortable to learn and achieve their full potential. Every child is unique and I believe that there is real beauty in discovering who they are.
