I am a person who likes to push themselves and I'm always dedicated to getting the job finished and achieving goals allowing me to develop myself and become more experienced. I will improvise if I am given a problem and look for the right people to talk to if necessary. During my time working in the USA, I learned a lot about working in teams, working in a constantly changing environment, and conflict resolution between people. I've completed DofE Bronze and Silver and also worked with Thames Valley Police in a week of work experience during my time in sixth form.
A counsellor’s primary responsibility is their group of campers. Counsellors are responsible for facilitating the daily routine; planning, leading, and participating in activities and programs for campers. Counsellors serve as a mentor, coach, and teacher to campers and are responsible for the physical, social, and emotional health, safety, and well-being. A successful camper summer is almost always tied directly to the relationship they develop with their counsellor. Counsellors must have patience, empathy, enthusiasm, and creativity as well as great listening and communication skills.
