Work History

Quantity Surveyor

Gleeds
04.2026 - 04.2026
  • During my time at Gleeds as a Quantity Surveyor, I gained valuable exposure to key commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, which significantly enhanced my understanding of the quantity surveying profession. A major part of my role involved reviewing and interpreting NEC4 contracts, allowing me to develop an appreciation of contract administration, risk allocation, compensation events, and the collaborative principles that underpin NEC contracts.
  • I also assisted in the preparation and review of pre-tender estimates, where I analysed project costs, measured quantities, and considered market rates to help establish realistic budget forecasts. This experience strengthened my understanding of cost planning and the importance of accurate estimating in supporting informed project decisions.

Building Surveyor

Knowsley Council
10.2025 - 10.2025
  • During my work experience I had to shadow over on-site visits to different assets of Knowsley Council and experience the heating, conditions and measuring surveys that were completed. I achieved a thorough sense of understanding surrounding the role and gained knowledge of key concepts and terminology with the building and construction environment.
