Estimating and costing certain civils projects for a wide range of civil engineering companies. Costing would also entail the outsourcing of certain steel or timber moulds for projects won through negotiation with client. Some of the projects won to date have been the new smooth point pier in Killybegs, Co Donegal which i priced and won in 2022 at circa 280k. More recently I have priced and won the supply of the precast concrete to various parts of the new Gullwing Bridge in Lowestoft, Suffolk for Farrans Construction at circa 1.2 million.

Through experience in an Engineering Industry I have been able to establish new business leads and develop new methods of how a smaller company can be a valued and trusted supplier to much larger OEMs whilst increasing sales with current customers. I currently carry out all costing, purchasing and sales. I also manage how and when product is fabricated to keep inline with customer specification and time frame.

Costed components for fabrication and/or powder paint. These ranged from some very small parts right through to very large machines or batching plants for mixed concrete.

Costing would have been done mainly from either plans or pdf files or sometimes 3D models which were part of a design programme. A BOM would have been produced onto Excel with a true cost of each part .

All associated costs were then summarised where fabrication and assembly hours were estimated by the team . Would meet various customers on occasions where costs were shown and verified. Some jobs required managing at great detail through every stage of the build and assembly where we would liaise closely with customers to ensure the correct information was there to keep production running when jobs went live. Work closely with the team and had regular KPI meetings.

Worked on all types of buses, from cutting and extending of chassis to the fitting of seats and handpoles .
